SMJ Studio has the resources and know-how to manufacture top quality commercial and residential soft goods. In our collective time of need, we are switching gears to produce face masks here in the Puget Sound area using high-density, high-comfort cotton fabrics normally intended for fine bedding, which has now found a higher calling.
ABOUT THE MASKS
Please note: US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders. (April 2020)
Double-layer of 300 thread count 100% cotton percale or sateen from Italy, and one-quarter or 3/8” (whichever is available) elastic head and neck straps
Double stitched along the sides to reinforce the side pleat, which is inverted to maximize comfort at the mouth
Double tuck at the bridge of the nose provides a snug fit without the use of metal or plastic adjusting clips

CARE & SUSTAINABILITY
The masks may be washed with soap and warm water, and dried in a warm dryer. Bleaching may damage the cotton fibers and is not recommended.
